The URM high school students who successfully complete the SCoRE program will be offered scholarships, research funds and support to enroll at CCU

– A student that gets this scholarship will be given a $500 scholarship to Coastal Carolina University for the first four semesters.

–To qualify student must enroll at CCU with a biomedical related major (biology, biochemistry, chemistry or health promotions) and plan to pursue a career in the biomedical field.

–Each semester the student will have $250 of supply money for research associated with them for their first 4 semester.  The faculty they do research with can use this money to purchase supplies

–CoRE Scholars will be matched with an upper classmen in biomedical field to serve as mentor to help with the high school to college transition during the first year

–CORE Scholars will be matched with a biomedical faculty member to mentor the student and monitor progress
